In the event that a customer makes a purchase on their credit card, but then sees the same item cheaper somewhere else, price promise will refund the difference, ensuring the customer benefits from the cheaper price. Cover only applies when the initial purchase is made using the card, providing another key reason for the customer to use your card in favour of other cards or payment methods.
